    Senior Rust Engineer - £80k - £120k + Equity

    Stott and May have partnered with an incredibly exciting FinTech startup who are leading the battle to reduce scams and financial crime. Their mission is to rearchitect payments infrastructure to give consumers unrivalled access and control into payments and transactions.

    They successfully raised over £5million in their impressive Seed round in 2023 and have a very healthy runway with an exciting future.

    You'll be joining an early-stage startup as employee number 6 and engineer number 2. You'll be working with a high level of autonomy and ability to make an impact, with a focus on developing robust, fault tolerant and large-scale distributed systems. The team are ideally looking for a backend leaning engineer with experience across Golang/Scala/Java/Rust/C++/Python. Whilst this is backend focused role, any experience working with TypeScript and React/Angular/Vue will be advantageous.

    The opportunity is for a full-time Senior Rust Engineer and comes with a salary of £80k - £120k + equity. This is a hybrid role and the team meet up 3x per week.

    It would also be advantageous if you possessed the following:

    • Demonstrable experience developing robust, fault tolerant, large-scale distributed systems.
    • Demonstrable backend experience with Go/Scala/Java/Rust/C++/Python (deep experience in one is good but if you have experience in more than one of these languages this will be advantageous).
    • Experience working within a startup environment, ideally early-stage.
    • Proven experience in AWS/GCP/Azure.
    • Experience working with fraud systems or within banking/payments/FinTech isn't essential but is very advantageous.
