Head of School Admissions

Remote working, £650 a day
Our client, a large Local Authority is seeking to recruit a Head of Schools Admissions on an interim basis.

This is a senior appointment which will see you acting as a champion for children and deciding strategy for School Admissions, Attendance, Exclusionsand Pupil Tracking.

Purpose

  • Ensure that every child in the area is provided with a school place within published timescales
  • Maintain relationships with headteachers, multiacademy trusts and central government
  • Develop and implement strategy in relation to the tracking of key groups of pupils
  • Promote good attendance and enable pupils to remain in appropriate educational provision

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clear leadership, vision and direction in relation to safeguarding principles
  • Manage School Admissions ensuring compliance with the relevant codes
  • Oversee data systems relating to admissions and appeals
  • Ensure all statutory requirements are met for determining the admission arrangements
Essential Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in a senior, strategic capacity in a local authority
  • Experience in School Admissions, Attendance, Exclusions and Pupil Tracking
