    Description
    To undertake prescribedmaintenance tasks as directed by the EngineeringSupervisor.
    The post holder willwork with a small team of maintenance staff on a rotating day shiftrota. Weekend working will be required on a roster basis. They willcarry out planned maintenance tasks and varied unscheduled work andTenant services in a busyenvironment.

    MainResponsibilities


    • To identify and diagnose faults and to carry out repairsadjustments and other maintenance works asappropriate.
    • To carry out therequired routine servicing repair or adjustment of plant ormachinery in accordance with the planned maintenance schedule astasked by the Building ControlCoordinator.
    • To adopt aflexible approach in respect of other skills or trades to ensurethe most cost effective completion of alltasks.
    • To undertake otherskilled tasks in which competence has beendemonstrated.
    • To monitor plantas tasked and to record data using the supplieddocumentation.
    • To achieve thehighest possible standard of plant and equipment efficiency byensuring that each task is carried out in accordance with the setrequirements and instructions.
    • To assist in ensuring that all working areas are kept clean andtidy and all refuse and waste materials are removed asappropriate.
    • To be thoroughlyfamiliar and comply with the Companys "Health &Safety" policy and procedures and to immediately reportany hazards or infringements to either the Infrastructure ServicesManager or EngineeringSupervisor.
    • To action andcomplete time/task sheets on a daily basis in accordance withagreed procedures.
    • Toundertake other reasonable duties as requested by theInfrastructure Services Manager or EngineeringSupervisor.

    Allstaff are required to fulfil their legal duty to take reasonablecare for the health and safety of themselves and others who may beaffected by their acts and omissions and to follow all guidance andinstructions given in this respect.

    EnvironmentalResponsibilities


    AllStaff are required to follow our client s Environmental Policiesfor minimisation of waste and effective energy management asdefined in the our clients Environmental Manual and associateddocuments.

    QualityManagementResponsibilities


    Allstaff are required to comply with our clients Quality ManagementSystem requirements detailed within the Company Quality Manual& Policies and to ensure that all Procedure; Plans andForms within InfoBase are effectively implemented to meet the setISO 9001: Quality ManagementStandard.

    Requirements

    • Although fulltraining will be given and all safety equipment supplied it may beessential (for some Maintenance Operator posts) that applicants areable to work at heightsoutdoors.
    • The incumbent musthave an appreciation of the importance of customer service and howthis is applied in the context of ourclient.
    TechnicalRequirements


    • Full time apprenticeship in an electrical or Building Services HVACdiscipline complete with City & Guilds 236 part 1 &2 certification. Mechanical apprenticeship would be acceptable withrelevant electrical experience.
    • Previous experience working in a modern building servicesmaintenance environment and able to demonstrate basic understandingof HVAC and building services.
    • It would be highly desirable for the candidate to have completedthe requirements for Electrical Installation (BS7671:2008) IEEWiring Regulations 17th edition through an approvedcourse.
