**Head of Adult Social Care Operations

Interim, Hybrid, 6 Months


An opportunity has arisen for a Head of Adult Social Care to join a West Midlands Local Authority on an interim basis.


This is senior appointment which will involve providing professional leadership and strategic operational support to the Assistant Director for Adult Social Care & Safeguarding.


Your remit will include ASC teams covering Adults with Learning Disabilities, physical disabilities, sensory needs, mental health needs and older people.

Duties

  • Provide strategic leadership to the adult social care services
  • Line management to operational service leads
  • Leading quality and performance improvement within the service
  • Managing resource capacity and competing operational demands
  • Representing the service at partnership senior leadership meetings
  • Acting as the point of escalation for incidents and complaints
  • Budget management

Requirements:


  • Have excellent leadership, communication and management skills
  • Track record of success in a Local Authority environment
  • Qualified social worker with experience working with adults
