    As the Commercial Finance Manager, you will be responsible for Financial Planning & Analysis, and you will take the lead on the annual budget process.

    Acting as a financial business partner to the wider senior management team, you will advise and support operations.

    With future acquisitions expected, the Commercial Finance Manager will support the CFO and CEO on mergers and acquisitions and other strategic growth initiatives.

    There will be a significant element of project work as well as some involvement in the month end close to ensure a rounded understanding of the business.

    As a qualified accountant, you'll have financial planning and analysis experience, as well as the preparation of management accounts experience.


    Skills, knowledge, experience:

    Essential:
    Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)

    Financial Planning & Analysis experience as well as preparation of management accountsCommercially astute with strong analytical skillsAdvanced Excel modelling skillsExperience of developing systems, processes and controls in a growing organisationExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with individuals at various levels within the organisationHands-on approach, willing to get into the detail but also see the while scopeAbility to work on own initiative as well as part of a teamDesire to work for a company in the care sectorExcellent organisational skills - able to plan, prioritise and work under pressure Desired:
    Experience of using NetSuite (our accounting system)

    Knowledge of Power BIResponsibilites:

    Operational:Monitor and analyse financial performance against KPIs and benchmarksLead the annual planning/ budgeting cycleWorking with the CFO/ CEO on M&A projects, including financial due diligence, completion accounts and onboarding of new care homesPreparation of management accounts for 2 – 3 care homes.

    While this isn't a major part of the role, it is important that the Commercial Financial Manager understands this level of detail as well as helping the wider finance team during the busy month end closeActing as a business partner to the wider leadership team, particularly operations.

    Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including operations to provide financial insights and support strategic decision making.

    Working with the Regional Operations Managers/ Finance team to monitor fee increases from local authorities to ensure these are optimizedReview of debtors and assisting the team to collect more challenging debtVisits to our care homes to build strong relationships, check financial controls are operating correctly and to develop our home managers financial knowledgeDevelopment of systems, processes and controls to improve efficiency Carry out ad hoc analysis or reporting work as requested Establishing good working relationships across the Group To perform other functions related to the role of a Commercial Finance Manager or as may be reasonably requested by the CFO/ CEO.
