Grid Connection Engineer - London, United Kingdom - AVA Energy

Description

I am exclusively partnered with an established UK Developer who are looking for a Grid Engineer to be based in their London office on a hybrid basis (4 days per week). They develop, own and operate all of their projects, which are predominantly utility-scale ground-mounted Solar and BESS projects.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and submission of grid connection applications, including the management of the approval process
• Monitor the grid connection progress by liaising with grid operators, regulators and other stakeholders, ensuring compliance with connection requirements
• Attend events and conferences to maintain relationships with relevant technology partners the business works with, such as DNOs/IDNOs/TNO/ICPs

Skills and Experience:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline
• Ability to identify grid capacity, create required technical documentation and submit necessary information required for successful grid applications
• Comfortable initiating contact and building relationships with the DNOs, TNOs, ICPs, EPCs, and other 3rd party advisors
• Knowledge of grid connection regulations and energy markets is an advantage
