We have a fantastic opportunity for a LGV Driver to join us at NG Bailey, based from our offsite plant in Wakefield.

In this position you will drive and operate Large Goods Vehicle delivering and collecting items of plant, equipment Nationwide operating from Bailey Plant Base.


Responsibilities:


  • Maintain a safe work standard and before travelling ensure all equipment is secure, positioned safely and the vehicle is safe to use. Ensure that final positioning and unloading of vehicle is undertaken safely and complies with legal requirements.
  • Drive all company vehicles supplied, in the most efficient way possible including journey routing and fuel efficiency.
  • Carry out all operations associated with the running of a vehicle including; the securing of loads, vehicle inspections, defect reporting, drivers hours records, working time directive and record keeping.
  • When attending sites for delivery and collection purposes, dress and behave in an appropriate manner; acting as an ambassador for Plant services. Follow all site rules and Method Statements, be proactive and treat everyone as a Customer.
  • Liaise with stores personnel and the Plant Manager over availability of plant for loading, unloading, and moving in the plant warehouse. Assist with general activities in the plant warehouse such as loading or unloading plant maintainance of plant and third party vehicles, or as directed by Plant Manager.
Experience

  • Substantial experience driving with a C1 Licence
  • Experience in load security
  • Digital Tachograph knowledge
  • Forklift Licence
  • Drive CPC Qualification
