- We are seeking an experienced Deputy Manager to join our Clients team in Sheffield. In this role, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to oversee the day-to-day management and development of the home. You will also take a lead role in operational areas of the service, deputising for the Manager in their absence.
- Assist the Registered Manager in managerial and developmental functions, including deputising in their absence.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality services responsive to the needs and wishes of service users, promoting their independence.
- Work as part of the management team, taking responsibility for operational areas of the service.
- Assist in managing the processes of referral, assessment, and review of individual service users, in consultation with relevant professional teams.
- Work in partnership with other services and community organisations for the best interests of service users.
- Implement innovative ways to involve service users in the running of the service.
- Promote education and employment opportunities for service users, fostering semi-independent skills.
- Advise, support, and supervise staff members, ensuring training needs are identified and met.
- Participate in direct work with service users on a sessional basis.
- Ensure the service welcomes and responds to the needs of diverse groups.
- Organise information systems and access to advice and expertise for staff and service users.
- Chair meetings, prepare reports and records, and provide in-service training.
- Administer finance, participate in staff recruitment, and implement company policies and procedures.
- Participate in supervision, training, and staff/management meetings.
- Oversee premises management and implementation of Health and Safety Regulations and Company Policies.
- Ensure designated key workers fulfil their duties and any additional tasks as required.
- Minimum of three years' Residential Childcare experience, including at least one year in a supervisory role.
- NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People required, NVQ Level 4 Managers Award advantageous.
- Relevant professional management qualifications are desirable.
