    Description

    Veterinary Surgeon
    White Cross Vets, Newton Hyde
Up to £70,000 depending on experience, up to £5,000 relocation support, plus benefits

Here at White Cross Vets Hyde we are looking for a new experienced vet to complement our fantastic team. We pride ourselves on being a great all round first opinion veterinary practice but also like to encourage areas of interest and specialisms. As such we have a Veterinary Surgeon with a keen interest and post graduate qualifications in dentistry who sees dental referrals, a vet with a post graduate medical certificate and another vet working towards her exotic certificate. Further, where possible, we like to keep our surgical cases in house and the experienced vets have an interest in soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery alongside regular visiting surgeons. This Veterinary team is complemented by a strong nursing team with both anaesthetic and surgical certificate holders.

A role that's tailored to you

Are you a first opinion vet looking to provide a gold standard of veterinary care? Would you want to develop a specific area of interest with support from our colleagues who have a broad breadth of experience and interest? In either case this role could be right for you. We would be keen to tailor a role for the ideal candidate to not only allow the practice to continue to grow and develop but to also allow the successful applicant the chance to further develop their own veterinary career in the way that is right for them. Also, we can offer a consult only role for candidate's that would prefer this.

Work life balance that works for you

Our people are at the heart of everything that we do, that's why we know that work-life balance is vital in supporting our people to be their best selves. Our flexible approach to rota patterns and working hours offers a balance that truly flexes with you and your lifestyle no matter what stage you are in your career. Although this advert is for a full-time position, we would consider any flexible working request and part time hours for the right candidate. A typical full time role would involve working 40 hours per week over 4 days. There's 1 in 4 Saturdays mornings required with time given back for working the Saturday morning shift.

    Who are we?

White Cross Vets Hyde has been open for five years and has all the things you would expect from a new clinic. Digital x-ray and ultrasound, separate dog and cat wards, idexx laboratory, full endoscopy facilities, four consult rooms and air conditioning throughout. As a team we work hard and play hard with regular get togethers and nights out.

What continues to set White Cross Vets apart is the close collaboration with other White Cross Clinics and the central support office. We have 21 clinics across the UK and all of our clinics have teams with different interests, with team members undergoing further training by certificates or having those that have achieved certificate status. Being part of something bigger, offers a fantastic level of support on a wider group level and allows us to grow and develop a higher quality first opinion pet care, whilst providing internal career progression opportunities
