Do you love the theatre? This is a great opportunity for someone experienced in customer service to be front of house working in the box office, ensuring all guests, and paying customers have the very best experience.

Sutton Coldfield Town Hall is a Grade A locally listed Edwardian heritage theatre, arts, and community venue. With a seating capacity of c.

400, with the addition of 4 multipurpose rooms, boasting regal charm which adds a special ambience to all the events they host here.


What we need from you as a Customer Service Assistant:

  • Experience in a
    customer-facing role, preferably within the events, arts, or hospitality sector
  • You will need strong, clear communication skills
  • Have a genuine passion for providing outstanding customer service

Proficiency in ticketing software or CRM platforms, and basic computer literacy

  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, based on the event schedule
  • A good level of education GCSE's
    English, Maths

Desirable:


  • A diploma or certificate in Customer Service or in Hospitality

What the role involves:


  • Warmly greet all visitors, providing a positive first impression of our venue
  • Efficiently handle all ticket sales for performances and events, both inperson and over the phone
  • Provide patrons with accurate information about showtimes, event details, seating arrangements, and other related enquiries
  • Handle all booking reservations, exchanges, and refunds while maintaining a clear record in the venue's booking system
  • Manage incoming calls, post, and deliveries, directing them to the appropriate departments or personnel
  • Gather feedback from visitors about their experience, addressing minor concerns, and directing major issues to the relevant team or supervisor
  • Compile daily sales reports and customer feedback for management review
  • Proactively inform patrons about upcoming events, membership programs, or promotions to encourage repeat visits
  • Assist with administrative tasks as required, such as maintaining databases, creating, and sending invoices, managing lost property, or coordinating with other departments

Salary/hours:
National Minimum Wage - £10.42 per hour, age dependant. Working Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm.
