    Role Overview: We are partnering with our client to source an Azure Platform Engineer who will play a critical role in shaping and implementing their cloud strategy within their private Azure cloud environment. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with the client's team and contribute to innovative solutions that drive efficiency and innovation across the organization.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with diverse development teams to design, develop, and enhance cloud-based solutions.
    • Innovate and implement cloud infrastructure and platforms to meet evolving business needs.
    • Provide guidance and support to operations infrastructure teams to facilitate knowledge transfer and problem resolution.
    • Define and maintain cloud procedures and documentation to ensure clarity and consistency.
    • Offer technical insights for infrastructure project proposals and ensure compliance with best practices and architectural standards.
    • Develop standardised patterns and blueprints for secure design and scripted deployment.
    • Champion engineering best practices to improve quality and efficiency across teams.

    Experience Required:

    • Expert-level experience in cloud infrastructure, including server, storage, networking, and PaaS products.
    • Proficiency in designing and managing complex Kubernetes environments.
    • Strong background in building, managing, and migrating solutions within a private cloud environment.
    • Experience with DevOps practices, scripting, and automation using Terraform, ARM, and other tools.
    • Deep knowledge of cloud design patterns and best practices, including migration strategies.
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Identity and Access Management products.
    • Ability to think strategically and perform risk analysis.
    • Experience in delivering enterprise-grade, highly available solutions.
    • Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.

    Key Skills:

    • Proficiency in common database and caching technologies.
    • Experience with containers and container orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes, and AKS.
    • Exposure to iterative/agile development methodologies.
    • Understanding of SRE principles and monitoring tools such as ELK stack.
    • Proficiency in GitHub, PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, Octopus Deploy, and Docker.
