We are recruiting for an exciting business in Cambridge who need a Full Stack Developer with a focus on AWS to join their team.

Requirements:

Service design and implementation, on a cloud platform, especially the AWS platform
Strong python experience
Experience of Flask working environment for front end development
Experience of React javabased scripting
Good working knowledge of python packaging
Exposure to python automation libraries: fabric, invoke, or similar
Exposure to python libraries for working with cloud platform SDKs; for use with AWS
Good working background with the AWS platform, particularly serverless technology and lambda function
Ideally have working experience of stream, S3 storage, Dynamo DB and SQS queue service
Ability to express opinion on sound RESTful API design, with working experience of python or JVMbased libraries for crafting performant and usable APIs
Good working knowledge of java8, with style toward functional expression (lambda, stream)

Skills and Experience:

Experience working with distributed systems, and an understanding of issues that can be encountered
Strong appreciation and knowledge of implementing the monitoring and profiling of distributed services
Ability to produce product internal operational documentation.
Flexible, outcome focused and selfmotivated
Selfstarter with a cando attitude, work autonomously with multiple projects in parallel.
Ability to guide other team members on service design: choosing the appropriate cloud platform services
Strong trouble shooter and versatile individual
Ability to guide other team members on appropriate data storage choice. Would prefer deep understanding on database capabilities
Good working experience with a number of AWS services: Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Step Functions.

Key responsibilities:

Deliver quality maintainable, scalable and robust solutions.
Data analysis, working with the data services team implementing complex mathematical algorithms, where data is fully processed in the cloud
Front end development in a Flask environment (desirable)
