    Description
    Maintenance Technician/ Engineer

    Exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Technician to join a well-established food producer based in Northern Ireland.

    As the Maintenance Technician/Engineer you will support planned maintenance activities to ensure the upkeep of buildings, landscapes, factory and offices in line with the operational activities of the business.


    Your primary focus as the Maintenance Engineer is on ensuring the maximum up time on machinery whilst ensuring the machinery runs consistently to the highest tolerances and minimum waste.

    Core responsibilities


    • Involvement in all projects concerning buildings and site infrastructure.
    • Ensure all engineering maintenance work is carried out in accordance with Health and Safety Legislation.
    • Repair production equipment to current Company standards to optimize performance of production machinery and ancillary equipment.
    • Plan for and assist with the installation of new or relocated machinery / equipment
    • Ensure Equipment is properly set up and maintained, monitoring performance and carrying out fault diagnosis and running adjustments/repairs as required.
    • Maintain accurate and organised records of your work, both written and electronic
    Essential Skills & Knowledge


    • To have completed an approved apprenticeship with the relevant Level 3 Mechanical/Electrical Qualification or an engineering qualification.
    • At least five years post apprenticeship experience in a mechanical and/or electrical hands-on maintenance and/or engineering role
    • Experience in problem-solving and rectification on a variety of equipment/machinery
    • Experience and understanding of electrical, electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
    • Experience of fault-finding using wiring diagrams
    • Knowledge of electro/mechanical equipment
    • A full, valid driving licence
    • Ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative
    • Previous maintenance experience in a factory environment
