Description

The role of safeguarding support officer is officed based and Monday to Friday mornings; the focus of the role is to research individuals for the daily domestic abuse hub, details of high-risk referrals and medium risk cases where a crime has been committed are shared with LYPFT so that we can interrogate our own information systems.

This allows for better understanding and management of risk, need and the co-ordination of appropriate support.

The success of this is that there is a regular coordinated and consistent response to people affected by domestic violence and abuse.

There are also MARAC (Multiagency risk assessment conference) referrals that required researching in the same way, this is on two days during the week and some of the research completed previously for DRAM Action/Safety Plans will feed into this process, the post holder will then save these forms into a shared drive for completion by the (back-up) duty safeguarding practitioner.
