Medical Underwriter / £43,000 - £50,000 / permanent / hybrid

My client, a market leader in the Insurance field, are looking to recruit a Medical Underwriter to join the business on a a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will have experience as an underwriter either within Medical, Critical Illness or Income Protection.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proven working knowledge on Medical, Income Protection. Critical Illness or disability products
• Provide fair underwriting decisions using appropriate amount of evidence
• Assess all applications that aren't accepted by our online engine
• Be the first point of contact for advisors and pre-sales enquiries

Essential Skillset:

• Will have proven experience in a Medical Underwriting position
• Knowledge of Critical Illness, Income Protection or Disability
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
• Proficient with Microsoft Packages
