    A global Defence client with HQ's around the U.K are looking to bring onboard either a Security cleared or willing to be security cleared Infrastructure Engineer to join the team based in either their South London or Portsmouth HQ 2-3 days a week.

    As the Infrastructure Engineer, you will be working with the Principal Systems Engineer and Technical Architecture team to support the design & implementation of IT Systems, ensuring that the systems are working at optimal levels constantly and support the development of new technologies and system requirements.


    What you'll be doing:
    Provide SME level advice and consultancy on solution design, critical problem areas, training and related areas
    Design, build, configuration and test of Infrastructure/Systems
    Build for operations, implement/administer/ configuration systems and hardware that are consistently stable, reliable and requirements.

    Learn the SME of the Production Integration Process and assume responsibilities for ensuring a smooth transition for relevant Systems from development to production.

    Working proactively to ensure problems do not occur through monitoring and optimising performance.
    Liase with various other Systems teams to create appropriate knowledge


    Key skills:

    Knowledge of server Operating Systems (Windows, Linux, Unix etc), VMWARE and Virtualisation technologies, knowledge of SAN and Storage Networks.

    Ideally some experience designing, integrating and managing complex infrastructure solutions.
    Degree qualified in a STEM subject.
