    TriCal Australia is part of a worldwide organization that specializes in the manufacturing, distribution, sale and use of various fumigants.

    TriCal AU is full service fumigation company serving agricultural, commodity and quarantine markets.

    Duties of the General Manager include managing a team of skilled employees involved in the sale, marketing, stewardship and application of fumigants.

    Fumigants are highly toxic products regulated by the APVMA.


    Duties include managing:
    Compliance and risk management of hazardous materials.
    Stewardship of product from packaging to the application by the end user.
    Stewardship training of handlers and applicators both in house and for end users.
    Sales and Marketing.
    Packaging
    To take overall accountability of the business and report to the Board of Directors performance of each area of the business;

    • Financial performance and improving company value
    • Operations, production, product sales and field services
    • Sales and marketing
    • People and culture

    In all of the above, to be respected for industry leading knowledge, quality products and services, and regulatory compliance.

    Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications

    The General Manager will be a seasoned and mature leader, preferably with at least 15 years commercial experience, as well as demonstrated excellence in steering and managing the operations and resources of a mid-sized company.

    Candidate will also have demonstrable strength in financial, operational and culture driven leadership. Prior experience managing finance (accounting, budgeting, control, and reporting), HR, operations, and safety for a mid-sized organisation is preferable.

    • MBA or bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or equivalent experience.
    • Minimum of 15 years at leadership and or senior management level, including extensive commercial experience.
    • Mature and proactive, with evidence of having worked with integrity as a valued and respected leader of a similar sized organisation (a revenue of not less than $30 mill).
    • Demonstrated excellence in leading an organisation, managing teams, ensuring profitability, and steering culture
    • Skill in examining, developing, reengineering, and recommending policies and procedures across the entire organisation.
    • Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting a strategic vision into an operational model.
    • A hands-on leader with integrity and a desire to work in a dynamic, mission and values-driven environment.
    • An effective communicator, with strong oral and written skills.
    • Strong commitment to developing team members.
    • In-depth understanding of accounting principles including budgeting, balance sheets, income statements, cash flow, and capital planning management.
    • Highly developed commercial acumen combining both strategic and operational skills
    • An ability to see the "bigger picture" and apply marketing and business development methodology in a business/commercial context
    • Clear and concise communications skills (both verbal and written) that can be tailored to meet customers' needs and strengthen customer confidence
    • Technologically competent with business operating systems.
    • Relevant experience in the Fumigation, and/or Chemical Sales and Service Sector
