Contract to start on until with a possible extension.


Role Summary


This role will be short term and jointly funded across the LA, ICB and Safeguarding Partnership to take forward the transformation needed in Early Help and our wider Front Door and Child In Need services to meet the requirements of the new Working Together and the Children's Social Care National Framework.

The post holder will take a strategic lead on:
To lead work that will require effective collaboration across multiple Directorates, including both Corporate and front-facing services, and partners.


To review, develop, prepare and implement a co-productive approach to project and programmes ensuring good quality engagement liaison consultation and communication with stakeholders, partners and communities.


Ensure effective integration with other elements of service delivery, development projects, sub projects and portfolios being delivered by the Client and Children's Services.

Develop clear visions, strategies, planning frameworks and delivery mechanisms for the projects.


Identify clear objectives for service delivery, including management of risk, and develop and performance manage relevant action plans to ensure effective and efficient implementation.


Assess political pressures and agendas on service delivery and tailor plans/activity accordingly whilst ensuring appropriate challenge is made and governance adhered to.


Support the AD and wider DLT to ensure that the EH Strategy is appropriately realised and developed in a phased approach over the next 4 years.

Substantial and successful direct management experience within the specialism of thispost, including policy development, corporate/strategic planning and managing change.

Successful budget management in a comparable organisation including evaluation ofcompeting budgetary priorities within tight financial limits.

Experience of performance management and quality assurance processes in servicedelivery.


Experience of successful project management and delivering services to set standards,including the production of Project Initiation Documents, project plans and budgetmanagement.

Knowledge and a significant understanding of the legislative frameworks andgovernment policy agendas in respect of this field of work

Successful track record of communicating and working with stakeholders and partnersDemonstrable experience of successful partnership and multi-agency working.

£439.72-£550.00 per day
