    Fire Safety and Asbestos Surveyor Opportunity in Newark

    A fantastic 3-month+ opportunity is available for a Fire Safety and Asbestos Surveyor position with the local authorities in Newark.

    • Pay rate is negotiable based on experience: £19,00 per hour PAYE plus Holiday pay.
    • Preference for proficiency in both fire and asbestos safety, but skills in one area may be considered.

    The main goal of this role is to offer specialized knowledge to guarantee the statutory and regulatory compliance of the Council's domestic assets within the Housing, Health & Wellbeing Directorate. The aim is to ensure the Council consistently upholds its duty of care towards tenants and other customers.

    Requirements:

    • Experience in delivering compliance safety, particularly in fire safety and asbestos management at scale.
    • HNC in a Property or Construction related field.
    • P405 Asbestos Management. P402 Asbestos Sampling / Surveying. P407 Managing Asbestos in Premises. W504 Assessment & Control of Asbestos.
    • Demonstrated experience in effective procurement, contract management, and successful delivery of various property-related contracts.
    • Working hours: 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week.
