Howdens Joinery are recruiting Machine Operators to join our team as part of our new paint to order service in Thorne, South Yorkshire.

This is an exciting opportunity that will contribute to our continued success and will enable us to deliver our forecastedgrowth and extend our service to our customers.


Pay rate and shift pattern:

- £16.28 per hour and monthly production bonus

  • Days based role (Monday to Thursday 7:30am4pm, Friday 6am2pm). The shift pattern could change as the project develops

What you'll be doing

  • Operating the daily running of the production line, following the SOP and carrying out quality checks
  • Preparation of preprimed and foil substrates and mixing paint (water based and AC)
  • Assisting with the maintenance and upkeep of equipment
  • Maintaining consistent satisfactory levels of housekeeping in the paint shop and other operational areas

What we're looking for

  • Experience of working within a fast paced and demanding manufacturing environment
  • Experience of a working with and operating machines, ideally paint spray machines (including water based and AC paints)
  • Ability to set and/or programme machines including CNC machinery
  • An excellent understanding of health and safety
