Description
Howdens are recruiting Machine Operators based at Howdens Work Surfaces, our solid surfaces production facility in Holme upon Spalding Moor, East Yorkshire.
In this role you will be responsible for the production of solid surfaces by setting, monitoring and performing quality checks on saws, polishing machine and CNC with current standard operating procedures and health and safety processes.
Monday - Friday Rotating Shifts - 5:45am - 2:00pm and 1:45pm - 10:00pm

What you'll be doing...
Performing machine pre use safety checks and setting up the machine in the allocated time frame using the specific SOP.
Performing minor adjustments when required and ensuring the area is maintained to the agreed housekeeping standards.
Planning and organising tooling and equipment to operate machine safely, effectively and efficiently in line with the production plan.

Previous experience of operating machinery
Experience of working within a fast paced and demanding manufacturing environment
Diagnostic and problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement approach to continually seek ways to improve our processes.
