    As a Welding Development Supervisor, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary.

    This role is based within the Weld Centre full time, you will get the opportunity to pass on your knowledge to new individuals, trainee Welders straight from school.

    Day-to-day, you'll ensure the performance and knowledge evidence presented by Apprentices and Trainees is valid, reliable, and authentic, that it is directly attributable to the individual and that it meets the knowledge and understanding requirements of the qualifications being undertaken.

    Establish and ensure that safe working practices and the working environment is in accordance with the Company policy.
    Set training/testing targets to employees daily ensuring achievement.

    Undertake any other duties, which may be requested by the Welding Development Manager/Head of Technical Services, for which training and / or an explanation has been provided and understood.

    This role is full time, Monday to Thursday and is based on site at Rosyth.
    Essential experience of the Welding Development Supervisor
    Candidate will have industrial experience using the TIG process in the pipework sector to volumetric examination standard

    Candidate will have previous 3rd party endorsed welder coding and highly proficient in solid wire MIG SMAW, FCAW, MCAW and have an understanding of SAW and mechanised processes.

    Qualifications for the Welding Development Supervisor
    Minimum SVQ level 3 qualification in Welding and Fabrication or equivalent
    Candidates will have passed or will require undertake and pass the Babcock leadership development assessment course.
    Candidate will have completed a recognised welding apprenticeship and have significant experience as a qualified tradesman with relevant industrial experience
