    Role Overview:

    As a Senior Procurement Officer, you will play a pivotal role in providing professional procurement support across diverse institutional activities for the procurement of goods, services and works.

    Your responsibilities will encompass leading end-to-end procurement projects, conducting thorough spend analyses, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Strategically plan, manage, and execute efficient and compliant tendering processes.
    • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to align procurement initiatives with strategic goals.
    • Vigilantly monitor supplier performance and identify opportunities for enhancement.
    • Foster seamless collaboration with operational procurement to ensure process efficiency and compliance.
    • Analyse expenditure records to pinpoint cost-saving opportunities and enhance efficiency.
    • Provide comprehensive guidance and training to staff on best procurement practices.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of 3 years' experience in delivering procurement services within a technically diverse setting.
    • Preference for experience in public or regulated sectors.
    • Membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (MCIPS) or equivalent degree.
    • Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development.
    • Profound understanding of procurement principles and best practices.
    • Ability to adeptly manage intricate projects and adapt to evolving priorities.
    • Exceptional communication skills with a talent for engaging stakeholders across all levels.
    • Proficiency in meticulous data analysis and attention to detail.
