    This role would ideally suit a graduate looking for their first role in the energy sector, or someone who has 1-2 years' industry experience looking for the next step in their career. The successful candidate will work as part of a project team based on-site in Sunbury.

    Requirements

    Education:

    • University Degree, preferably in Geology/Petroleum Geology/Earth Sciences with a sound knowledge of Information Technology.

    Essential Experience:

    • An awareness of subsurface (Geoscience & Engineering) data types and the complex nature of how the data is obtained, stored, integrated, applied, and managed across multiple business functions.

    Desirable Experience:

    • Proficiency in managing geological, geophysical, and reservoir engineering data, including data acquisition, storage, quality control, and maintenance.
    • Familiarity with industry-standard software tools used for subsurface data management such as Petrel, Studio, OpenWorks.
    • Basic understanding or experience with programming languages commonly used in data analysis and manipulation such as Python.
    • Familiarity with database management systems like SQL and experience in querying, managing, and maintaining databases.
    • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and methodologies in subsurface data management and exploration workflows.
    • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
