    We have a beautiful campus in the South Downs, with cosmopolitan Brighton as our host city, but have also adopted a hybrid model of working which enables home working as well as time on-campus.

    University Operations and Strategic Planning
    This new role will lead the development of the Universities' Apprenticeship strategy and delivery plan.

    You will set the direction, vision and standards of delivery for Apprenticeships services and co-ordinate the activity of the wider apprenticeship provision across Faculties and departments ensuring appropriate resources are available.

    Working in partnership with other internal and external stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment of Apprenticeships service.

    You will drive the development and continuous improvement of apprenticeship provision to ensure that apprenticeship programmes meet the needs of employers and industry; and they engage, motivate, and provide progression pathways for apprentices.

    With excellent communication, influencing and presentation skills, you will have experience in business development, B2B sales, employer engagement or partnership management and some understanding or experience of degree and higher apprenticeships.

    You will need the ability to develop promotional materials and confidently present them to a stakeholder audience and are able to demonstrate a flexible/multi-tasking approach to managing workload, being positive and responsive to stakeholders and team.

    You should be willing to travel where necessary to employer sites.
    Previous experience of apprenticeship programmes, including regulations, funding models, and compliance requirements.

    Ability to collaborate with businesses and with Academic staff to develop customised apprenticeship training programmes that meet industry needs.

    The University Operations and Strategic Planning division is a diverse division which sits at the heart of the University, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer.

    Staff in the Division provide a range of services, including key data insights, business intelligence, research and evaluation of Access and Participation activities and the provision of Services and support for the development of our new Apprenticeship programmes.
