We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Health and Safety Advisor to join our highly successful Environmental division.

Working in a small team of hard working and friendly HSE Advisors, you will be visiting client sites advising them on Health and Safety policies and investigating any accidents, incidents or near misses.

This is a varied and diverse job where no day will be the same.


Main Purpose of Role
To work as a team member and support other team members in the provision of services to clients. To support the Quality Safety Environmental and energy Manager to meet client KPIs and roadmaps.

To contribute to a high performace team culture by providing services, reports and contributions that would meet this level of this measurement.


Qualifications:


Essential:

  • A health and safety qualification equal to or better than Nebosh National General Certificate.
  • A qualification in fire safety

Desirable:

  • Nebosh National diploma or equivelent or greater qualification.
  • Nebosh fire certificate or equivelent or greater qualification.
  • Nebosh construction certificate or equivelent or greater qualification.
IEMA's Certificate in Environmental Management or equivelent or greater qualification.


Experience
Essential

  • At least 2 years of conducting health, safety and environmental audits and inspections
  • At least 2 years of advising on fire safety and conducting fire risk assessments.
  • Ability to follow reasonable instructions from your line manage and clients
Desirable

  • Worked experience in construction safety and ability to show good knowledge of CDM 201
  • Experience working in various work situations including offices, Telecomunications sites, Construction sites, manufacturing and distribution.
- the ability to quickly grasp clients requirements and propose improvements of service or client deliverables.
- excellent communication, with the ability to influence to ensure compliance.
- good report writing
- competence with MS Office including outlook, teams, word, PowerPoint and excel.

  • Knowledge of Northern Ireland and republic of Ireland legislation, ACOPS and guidance.
  • Awareness of risks associated with Telecommunications.
  • Good working knowledge of construction safety including CDM 2015
