This is an exciting opportunity to join Calderdale's Family Intervention Team, which sits within Children and Family Services.

This post is based within our Early Help Hub, the Early Help Hub is the central point for referrals through the front door (MAST) that don't meet the threshold for Children Social Care involvement, where on completion of screening it's been identified that the needs of the child and family can be met through a coordinated Early Help Offer.

The Hub is a multi-agency decision making forum who assess the levels of need for children, young people and families to ensure that the right services and intervention are provided to meet their needs at the right time.

The key worker will offer immediate support for up to 12 weeks, they will work persistently and intensively, with targeted families who face particularly complex and multiple issues, using a holistic 'think family' approach and provide support to a complex child and family workload, including Child Protection, Children with Disabilities, Looked after Children and Care Leavers in accordance with procedures, with the support of Children's Social Care.

They will also take a lead role with Early Help cases where allocated.

Experienced in working with 'hard to reach' children and families using an 'outcomes focussed' approach, you should have proven assessment, analytical and reflective skills as well as experience of being a Lead Professional.

You will also bring the ability to work within a framework of 'support and challenge'.
