Search Engineering and Manufacturing have once again partnered with a leading food manufacturing business. We are recruiting a Packing Operative to join the fantastic team on site.


This is a Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours per week on a rotating pattern between two shifts which rotate weekly (Week - 6am-2pm & week - 2pm-10pm) opportunity.

The purpose of your work is to work alongside the production team to pack and palletise the finished goods to go out to
customers and support with the cleaning of machinery, removal of waste from the production
line and assist machine operators with tasks when appropriate.

The main duties for the position of Packing Operative will consist of the following:
Packing and palletising of goods.

Cleaning of machinery and removing waste from the production lines.

Stretch wrapping.

Machine filling of packing materials.

Inspecting finished goods.

Movement of goods by moving aids.

Ensure throughout level is maintained to optimise efficiency without compromising
quality.

To ensure the safety of oneself and others of all times.

Contribute to and help implement continuous improvement, so as to enhance quality,
efficiency, safety and waste reduction.

Help & assist in the training of others and identify own training needs.

Any other ad-hoc tasks as required.

Previous experience working in a Warehouse environment, ideally have experience within FMCG. Ability to work within a team to achieve business goals.

Part of the role will involve record keeping and assisting with the documentation so strong MS office skills are desirable.
