    The role:

    As a Senior Production Planner at HL Display, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the workflow across multiple departments, conducting capacity planning meetings, raising manufacturing orders, and managing requisitions.

    Additionally, you will be tasked with expediting operations and adjusting schedules to meet changes in demand. Your role will be crucial in driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity. We are looking for someone with experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in production planning, who possesses excellent problem-solving skills, can thrive in a fast-paced environment, and is a strong team player with exceptional communication skills. Experience with ERP or Planning Scheduling System implementation is highly valued and will greatly enhance your candidacy for this position.

    What will you be responsible for?

    • Plan and schedule production activities across multiple departments to meet customer demand and optimize resource utilization.
    • Conduct capacity planning assessments to ensure the availability of resources, including labour, material, and equipment, aligning with customer and production requirements.
    • Generate manufacturing orders and requisitions for components and expedite operations as necessary to meet production schedules.
    • Adjust schedules as needed to address unforeseen conditions or changes in demand.
    • Utilize ERP systems to maintain accurate records of production schedules, and orders.
    • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and address production issue when necessary.
    • Drive continuous improvement, streamline processes, and enhance operational efficiency.
    • Communicate effectively with production teams, supervisors, and management.

    We employ people from all walks of life and with a wide range of work experiences. To succeed in this role we are looking for the following skills and experience:

    • 5 GCSE's grade A-C (or equivalent).
    • Experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in Production Planning.
    • Strong understanding of ERP and Production Scheduling systems.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Strong proficiency in Excel, database queries, and reporting analysis is highly desirable.
    • Problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in a time pressured environment.
    • Proactive mindset to be able to adapt to changing priorities and unforeseen conditions.
    • Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
    • Be able to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
