A fantastic opportunity has arisen within the Procurement & Contract Management Service for a motivated and experienced Contract Management Lead professional to join Bristol City Council, a diverse and ambitious organisation with a £1bn+ p.a.
Bristol City Council is seeking to recruit an experienced Contract Management Leader to manage its Strategic Centralised Contract Management function which includes PFI contracts (Schools & Leisure Services).
What will I be doing?
You will have overall lead responsibility for:
- Leading a high-quality contract management service, compliant with legislation, council policies and objectives
- Leadership, delivery and embedding of the Councils Contract Management Framework in a manner that supports and compliments the wider objectives of the council
- Supporting the centralised Contract Management team to deliver a consistent and professional Contract Management Service to the Council's highest risk, high value Portfolio's of contracts.
- Being the nominated Councils Local Authority Representative for PFI Contracts
- Attending various school and contract meetings aswell as monitoring the performance of the providers against the Key Performance Indicators and Payment Mechanisms.
- Approving variations to PFI contracts and monitoring the ongoing financial affordability.
What do I need to have?
You should be a self starter, highly self motivated, a problem solver and able to communicate and negotiate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
Extensive experience in contracting or contract management, preferably within the private and public sector within a range of industries including PFI/PPP, leading on planned and responsive changes to PFI/PPP commercial requirements.
We need someone that Ability to lead and manage a vast team whilst, inspiring and motivating people across a whole service.
