    The Role

    Loans Administration Officer (Loans Documentation) - City of London based global Bank - (2nd Jobber 6-months to 2-years' experience)

    Martis Search is representing a global Bank, to hire a permanent "Loans Administration Officer (Loans Documentation)".

    The company is going through a successful growth stage in 2023 within their Loans business and as a result need to hire within their Loans Operations department.

    The company is based in The City of London and the bank has global locations. The position sits within their Loans Operations department and reports into their Loans Administration Manager.

    The department provides Loans Operational support for their Lending, Corporate Banking, Current Account, Business Deposits, Corporate FX customers for all Bilateral and Syndicated Loan facilities.

    The role is responsible to provide reviewing all Loans Facility Documentation from an Operational perspective.

    The role is also hybrid (within a 4-week period, 8 days employees are allowed to work from home, so you will be able to work-from, as well as in the office). The company offers great overtime rates and also a pension. It is a friendly bank to work for and a safe a secure environment.

    JOB PURPOSE

    To assist with the day-to-day administration of lending, current account, deposit and corporate FX business for bilateral customers and the administration of syndicated and bilateral loan facilities to UK and overseas corporate customers

    originating from the Global Banking Unit Departments.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. To perform a pre-signing review of draft Loan Facility documentation from an operational perspective and highlight any challenging or unique clauses to the Loan Administration Departments Head of Department, Manager or Assistant Manager.
    1. To proactively attend to the department's duties in the collation, reviewing, monitoring, registering, and filing of loan and other important documentation during the course of business as is related to the Loans Administration Department's assigned duties.
    1. To coordinate and assist in the completion of the ongoing monitoring and updates to financial and other documentation/information which is required under the terms of the relevant facility.
    1. To coordinate and assist in the completion of the day-to-day system registration and administration of facilities – including, but not limited to, Asian bilateral and committed, syndicated non-Asian loan facilities and corporate FX facilities.
    1. To collate and prepare for circulation relevant information which contributes towards the Department's monthly reporting function.
    1. To prepare and despatch electronic / pdf confirmations to our client's external auditor upon receipt of the necessary authorisation for release.
    1. To check completeness and subsequently file executed documents and carry out routine general filing and archiving where required.
    1. Whilst the initial emphasis is on documentation issues, in the longer term it is envisaged that duties may be expanded to cover administrative aspects of the department's work (drawdowns, rollovers, rate fixings, fee control etc.)
    1. To participate and engage in ongoing branch and departmental projects, such as regulatory changes, branch wide system or process enhancements and/or any department specific initiatives.
    1. To minimise the occurrence of operational irregularities through a conscientious approach to daily duties and to ensure any relevant issues are reported to the Loan Administration Head of Department, Manager or Assistant Manager in timely fashion.
    1. To carry out other duties as required by the Head of Loan Administration, Assistant Manager, and the Deputy General Manager.
    1. To carry out such other duties as requested by the General Manager.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    A" level standard of education, or equivalent, preferred.

    A minimum of 6 months to 2 years relevant banking experience is required.

    Previous experience in analysing Bilateral and Syndicated Loan Agreements and related documentation.

    Knowledge and experience of LoanIQ is desired due to ongoing system migration project.

    Advanced Excel and/or Access skills desired but not required.

    SUPERVISION & REPORTING LINES

    Supervised by the Head of Department and / or Assistant Manager, as appropriate.

    KEY STAKEHOLDERS

    Principally with other staff in the department, also with Global Banking Unit staff and occasionally with customers or external auditors in relation to dealing with routine enquiries.

    Also, to a lesser extent with Loan Administration staff of other banks and some direct contact with bilateral clients, in respect of work undertaken on administrative matters.

    Salary

    £30 k pa - £35 k pa dependent upon experience plus Bonus, Pension, Private Medical Care, Health checks, Wellbeing allowances and Life Assurance.
