Location:
UK Flexible Location (must be able to to cover the South West of England and Wales)


Contract type:
x2 year Fixed Term contract


Hours: 35 hours per week (x2 full-time equivalent posts open to part time/job sharing) (minimum 14 hours a week)

Salary:
£42,014 per annum pro rata

We are looking for dynamic and enthusiastic Psychosocial Practitioners to join our Psychosocial and Mental Health team who will be essential in ensuring the wellbeing of our Refugee support and Restoring Family Links, Anti-trafficking, Crisis Response and Health services.

You'll be making a tangible difference to the people you assist and helping ensure our workforce is in the best position to support others and help people in crisis.

In this role you'll be providing psychosocial resources to our workforce delivering services.

Working closely with teams across the area, you'll establish regular clinical supervision, reflective practice groups, one to one session, and workshops.


This role requires someone who is clinically qualified and with significant clinical experience of running clinical supervision and reflective practice sessions.

You will need to achieve significant reach, influence and impact with senior managers and professionals within the Red Cross in order to ensure the highest quality service.

This could be the perfect opportunity for you if
***- You have a relevant mental health qualification (e.g. Postgraduate Degree or other professional qualification related to psychosocial support (e.g. Clinical Psychology, Psychiatry, Psychotherapy or Social Work)) and current accreditation status with a UK mental health professional body (e.g. HCPC)

  • You have excellent communications skills. You have the ability to facilitate and navigate discussions with service users.
  • You pay attention to detail and can assimilate information and provide clear analysis
  • You have the ability to persuade and influence staff members at all levels of the organisations (and within the NHS or similar environment)
  • You have demonstrable experience of engaging with practical issues of service development and delivery
  • You have proven experience and professional expertise in trauma reactions, mental health issues and the management and negotiation of complex situations involving staff/volunteer welfare
  • You have previous work experience with service users who have experienced crisis
  • You have proven work experience in leading the provision of staff support and/or developing systems to promote wellbeing
  • You live in the UK
