Our client a specialist real estate service provider and business partner are seeking a recently qualified Accountant to join their team in a Property Accountant role.

This role will work closely with a number of real estate funds acting as a business partner providing a professional service that does not compromise on integrity and quality.

For this role it is essential you have experience within property investment management accounting (not client accounting or service charge), have experience preparing a full set of management accounts and some consolidation experience.

This role will report into a Financial Controller and will review the work of an Assistant Accountant.

Day to day of this Property Accountant role:

Preparation of consolidated management accounts
Posting journals into the GL, calculating accruals, lease incentives, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis of P&Ls
Posting management agent rent and service charge statements.
Preparation of quarterly and monthly UK VAT returns
Preparation and submission of CIS returns
Prepare statutory accounts and manage the yearend audit process
Assist with any other ad hoc client requests

Required Skills & Qualifications for this Property Accountant role:

Qualified Accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA with a significant number of years in a similar role
Excellent overall accounting skills
Property Accounting experience, fund accounting not client accounting
Experience of VAT is essential, and CIS would be highly advantageous
System experience with Sage 50/200 or Caseware
Intermediate Excel Skills
Strong attention to detail, be diligent and precise in how you deliver work
Ability to continue to drive efficiencies and assist Financial Controller in managing deadlines.
Need to be able to take ownership and multi task.
