    Systems Integration & Network Diagnostics Engineer

    Job role overview:

    To allow for the introduction of new and exciting automotive technology across our range of motorcycles, the Electrical & Electronic Systems department is looking to bring in a talented, passionate, and driven Integration and Validation Engineer to drive and facilitate the delivery of integrated HW and SW in the assigned projects for our New Technology and New Model Introduction Programs.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    On the assigned projects:

    o Plan overall SW and HW technical integration

    o Define Integration points

    o Receive and collect SW releases

    o Create and publish feature release plan

    o Publish Integration points with release notes

    o Assess SW compatibility (by design and by test)

    o Assess HW compatibility (by design and by test)

    o EOW/EOL readiness

    o Review of Systems Requirements for testability.

    o Create test specifications and test cases for electrical systems

    o Coordinate testing of EES features on bikes, liaising with test riders and ensuring bikes and track are available at the correct time.

    o Create and modify automated test scripts.

    o Execute automated black box and manual system level tests on lab bikes.

    o Analyse HIL and bikes test data and reports.

    Contribute to the development and improvement:

    o Tools & Methods for Software integration and releasing into vehicle projects

    o Ensure processes/procedures are in place to ensure deliverables and milestones are being met on a day-to-day basis by the teams.

    o Agree project metrics with key stakeholders.

    o Track best practices within the project planning community.

    Qualifications:

    • BEng or MEng in Technical subject with modules covering software planning and integration etc or equivalent and relevant experience.

    Experience:

    Essential

    • Previous experience of working within an automotive / manufacturing / industrial environment. Proficient planning of Integrated Software delivery into complex systems
    • Proficient with CANoe and CANalyzer
    • Knowledge of diagnostic protocol and re-programming.
    • Proficient in Systems test and validation.
    • Proficient in Microsoft packages including Excel, Word and Outlook.
    • Knowledge of full Systems Engineering lifecycle / V model Detailed Knowledge of CAN communication
    • Excellent troubleshooting skills.

    Desirable

    • Experience with Vector PREEvision
    • Manual / Automated Test case generation
    • Script development e.g. CAPL, Python (or similar).
    • Experience with defect resolution tools (e.g. JIRA).
    • Experience in closed loop testing.
    • Experience in software download, optimisation and continual improvement.
