The Background*The Sporting Group is one of the world's leading names in sports betting technology and trading.

The Group employs almost 300 staff, predominately at its central London HQ, and has two principal divisions, Sporting Index - a B2C operation, the pre-eminent sports spread betting company, and Sporting Solutions, a rapidly growing B2B operation which supplies real-time pricing and sports trading capabilities to sportsbooks around the globe.


Role Overview*The Sporting Solutions Head of Account Management has primary responsibility and ownership for all key SSLN accounts and the Account Management team that services them.

They will be responsible for creating a commercially focused culture within the team and ensure the team maximise the profitability of all accounts.

They will be continuously reviewing how each account is commercially managed and identify opportunities to increase revenues.

Whilst responsible for the commercial performance of each account, an excellent service must be maintained with our partners and you will be required to guide and influence the Account Managers on an on-going basis.

Management*- Create a commercially focused culture within your team

  • Lead the Account Management team, supporting them in maximising revenues from their Partners
  • Accountable for managing and assisting the Account Managers in all contractual renewals

Commercial

  • Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders of key Partners so that we understand all their wants and needs.
  • Drive and develop Partner specific growth strategies and approaches
  • Gather a strong understanding of our competitors, realising how best to increase value for our Partners
  • Responsible for managing all contractual renewals. Leverage these as an opportunity to grow the value of our contracts
  • Develop a strong understanding of the profitability of each contract and the various factors that effect it
  • Provide senior management with regular reports on Partner performance, highlighting reasoning for unexpected differences and finding solutions to improve performance

Coordination:

  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure your team have all the information they need to manage their Partner accounts effectively
  • Work closely with the Commercial Director to ensure all contracts are being optimised commercially
  • Provide assistance and expertise on the evolution of products and services with a view to optimizing and rationalizing costs and processes

The Person

  • Excellent verbal and written communicate skills
  • Strong experience in managing and negotiating contracts
  • A proven background in managing a team
  • Deep experience within the betting industry and a knowledge of the trading function;
  • Good understanding of the costs to deliver a sportsbook odds service
  • Clear ability to aid the delivery of the Group's commercial performance to meet budgeted targets
  • Ability to create long lasting relationships and deliver a high standard of partner service
  • Proactive and able to think on your feet. Makes sensible decisions that are followed through to completion.
