Abbeystone House, 36 Eastern Way, Bury St Edmunds IP32 7AB

Hours: 37.5 hours a week


Reporting to:
Procurement & Logistics Manager

Role:
Responsible for the efficient running of the warehouse and stock management


Responsibilities:


  • Fully responsible for the warehouse operations including management of warehouse staff to be appointed when required
  • Ensure that the warehouse operates at peak efficiency — with customer satisfaction the primary goal — by supervising, organising, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operational goals
  • Develop and implement efficient warehouse processes and procedures to maximise productivity and minimise errors.
  • Optimise warehouse layout to maximise space utilisation
  • Oversee and manage logistics for transporting products to customers by communicating with these service providers.
  • Pick and pack online orders (currently circa 100 a day but due to increase)
  • Ensure accurate inventory management through regular cycle counts and reconciliations
  • Administer all paperwork and delivery notes according to company procedures
  • Responsible for the forklift within the warehouse
  • Loading/unloading vehicles, ensure compliance with all legal requirements for the vehicle.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations and tractability information correctly recorded.
  • Ad hoc deliveries country wide with the potential for the occasional overnight stay.
Required skills required.

  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfilment and shipping/receiving processes
  • Experience working with handheld scanner system
  • Focused and accurate in a fastpaced environment
  • Understanding of COSHH & Health & Safety regulations
  • High regard for good customer service
  • Willingness to develop the role to meet business demands
  • Physically fit, happy for manual lifting & good dexterity skills
  • Full driving licence
Preferred skills and qualifications.

  • Forklift (Counter Balance) Licence
  • City & Guilds in Warehousing and Storage Level 3 or equivalent
  • Strong IT skills, including competent in using Excel/Word
