We're looking for a communications officer to join our central Communications Team.


You will produce engaging and high-quality communications content to support internal and external promotions and campaigns across all of our workstreams.


To be successful in this role, you will have experience of producing communications in a busy environment and on a range of channels including social media, web, print and also have experience in organising events; producing patient information, devising promotional campaigns and monitoring their effectiveness.

You will work with clinical and corporate services.


Applicants will have knowledge of communications, public relations and marketing communication techniques, approaches and procedures and/or experience working in a press, PR or communications environment.

Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential.


You will act as the main point of contact for communications for one of our divisions, produce the weekly internal staff bulletin, develop messaging for clinical and corporate services, produce patient information and promotional materials to support the CNWL brand and reputation management of the organisation.

The Communications Team


We are an experienced and dynamic team responsible for managing all aspects of communication for CNWL, internal and external, across all channels.

We work closely together and each cover a portfolio of work while sharing our skills and expertise to learn from one another.

The successful applicant may have contact with patients or service users.

To support the Head of Communications in producing effective communications and marketing campaigns, working closely with the Trust's services.

To support with a portfolio of work by being the main point of contact in the Communications Team for one of the Trust's divisions

To produce patient information, working closely with services to ensure appropriate messages and images are used.


To ensure patient information material is produced in plain English and key community languages, such as posters and leaflets, liaising with designers, printers and photographers as necessary.


To support with the corporate communications and marketing strategy, as well as working with service lines to devise and implement their plans.


To champion consistent use of the Trust logo and corporate brand to ensure the integrity of the brand is maintained, advising and monitoring use of the CNWL brand as appropriate.


To assist in the organisation of events at different sites across the Trust, such as official openings or ministerial visits, including overseeing publicity, marketing material, and photography.

To produce and lead on the weekly production of the all staff bulletin.


To support the Senior Digital Communications Officer, writing content for, and regularly updating, the Trust's public website including the creation of micro-sites and intranet pages to showcase specific services as required.


To manage communication issues related to local and national initiatives and develop communications activities to support a calendar of related health promotion events e.g.

World Aids Day, mental health awareness week.

To be involved in media relations activities such as writing and issuing press announcements and press releases.
