Description

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Health and Safety Advisor to join their team in Portsmouth on a permanent, full-time basis.

As a Health and Safety Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of their employees and maintaining compliance with all relevant safety regulations.

This is a vital position within their organisation, and they are looking for someone who is passionate about promoting a safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities include (but not limited to)

Conduct regular inspections of work areas to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to minimize the risk of accidents and injuries.
Provide training to employees on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions.
Collaborate with management to develop strategies for improving safety performance.
Stay uptodate with industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to workplace safety.
Prepare detailed reports on safety performance, including trends, areas for improvement, and recommendations for action.
Liaise with Clients on Health and Safety queries.
Complete prequalification questionnaires and tender enquiries.
Travel to multiple sites.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and best practices.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficient in report writing and data analysis.
Ability to conduct root cause analysis to identify underlying causes of accidents or

- incidents.
