We have an exciting opportunity available to recruit 1.27 WTE Band 2 House Keepers to join our workforce team on Tiger Safari Ward and Hippo Assessment Unit.

The post holder will work has an integral part of the ward and service team to support the children's inpatient ward which includes oncology and children's assessment unit.

The post holder will be reasonable for ensuring the delivery of a range of activities to support the clinical team in delivering care, ensuring that all equipment and supplies are maintained.

The post holder will be responsible for the monitoring, control and stocking of all essential items, ensure that the equipment and the environment are clean and in good working order and can be identified as fit for use in line with infection control practices.

To ensure that all general and specialist equipment e.g. monitors, drip stands are cleaned in accordance with manufacturer's instructions and trust policy.

Ensure that all medical equipment sent for repair is decontaminated in accordance with Trust policy.

To ensure that the department is clean & tidy at all times, including defrosting freezers. This includes ensuring the parents room and Milk kitchen; ensuring that the fridges are cleared out and cleaned on a regular basis

To ensure that the cleaning checklist is completed daily

Identify problems with departmental cleanliness, take remedial action and report to Unit Sister

Damp dust equipment daily
