Our client are a diversified energy and commodities trading company looking to recruit a sanctions lawyer for their busy London legal team.

They pay very well, offer an excellent work / life balance and great progression prospects for their lawyers.

The business has enjoyed significant success over the last few years and has grown rapidly. They buy and sell energy products all over the world, operating in most jurisdictions.

With a rapidly changing and developing sanctions landscape touching their different business units, they need someone to help manage the different regimes.

You will be expected to stay on top of all sanctions, trade compliance and regulatory developments.

This will involve working with external bodies as well as counterparties, to ensure that all legal and compliance objectives are met.

The successful candidate is likely to have 8+ PQE. Candidates who are currently in a law firm or in-house role will be considered.

Full training and support will be provided to get up to speed quickly but experience of oil / gas / trading would be advantageous.

Deep sanctions experience is essential. Candidates outside of this range and profile will be considered.
