Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Social Work:

£37,458 to £54,919 per annum

Lecturer salary from £37,458 per annum

Senior Lecturer salary from £43,392 per annum


About the Role:

The department is seeking to appoint permanent Lecturer or Senior Lecturer posts in Social Work. As a successful applicant, you will be expected to contribute to the existing teaching strength of the department and have a record of success within the field relating to a) professional practice or b) scholarship activities, or c) research.

Applications are welcomed from individuals who have an excellent teaching track record and a willingness to continue developing their scholarly, practice or academic research profile.

We are particularly keen to hear from those with key interests/expertise in one or more of the following:

  • Children and family practice
  • Child protection
  • Child and Adolescent Mental Health
  • Adult safeguarding
  • Transitions
  • Adult mental health
  • Practice Education
  • Decolonising education/practice


You will possess excellent communication and presentation skills, being capable of teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate students across our portfolio of courses within the Social Work, Care and Community department.

You will also be an inspiring educator interested in creating engaging learning experiences. You should be able to make a significant contribution to our ambitious plan for delivering innovative, practice-focused education.
