Applications are invited for a full time MDT coordinator in Cellular Pathology. The post holder will provide administrative and operational support for the histopathology service based at the Royal Free Hospital.


This post is a key position which supports the Histopathology staff in the provision of the diagnostic cancer service and will predominantly involve the preparation of weekly Multidisciplinary meetings (MDM).

  • The post holder is responsible for the preparation of all clinical materials and documentation for weekly MDMs, operated on a rotation basis
  • To act as the first point of call for Histopathology operations and deal with day to day issues using own judgement to make decisions arising where appropriate and to escalate to appropriate department/manager/senior staff for resolution.
  • To assist the operations management team as required to ensure a smooth and efficient running service
  • To assist with the booking in of referral cases sent to the department
  • To assist with filing of slides to help ensure the preparation of meetings is efficient
  • To assist in the training of new staff in relevant policies and procedures
