The GSMA Innovation Foundry is the goto place for crossindustry collaboration and business development, where GSMA members and industry players come together to rapidly develop realworld solutions to industry challenges, nurture new ideas through initial commercial trials and scale proven solutions at a regional and global level to forge our digital future.

Beyond the GSMA Innovation Foundry the role will have the opportunity to participate in wider GSMA Technology activities.

The GSMA has created Industry Communities that bring the interested stakeholders together to share learning, develop new business ideas and showcase success stories.

The role will support the GSMA business lead to run one of these industry shaping groups.

About the Role

The Foundry has a centralised function that provides governance and visibility over all GSMA Foundry projects and activities.


Its main responsibilities are to:
Provide an enabling processes to continuously support management of projects within the Foundry Streamline project management and reporting activity whilst enabling fast Ensure alignment with wider GSMA Project Management ProcessesAs a PM Coordinator, you will be responsible for the following areas:Foundry Operations & Performance Reporting:

Support weekly project reporting cycle Coordinate and automate the collection of Foundry KPIs Monitor project delivery performance and share lessons learned Provide expertise on project types, governance, processes, tools & templates Support initiation phase of project planning Be a central point for Foundry project requests, processes and tools Ensure alignment with GSMA PMO processes Support delivery of new processes, templates and governance changes as applicableGSMA Technology Communities support:
  • Organise meetings of Technology Communities and their sub
  • groups
Manage bookings, invitations, agenda, slide decks and notetaking Manage internal and external stakeholders Manage the administration of communities on GSMA's online document repositories and MS Teams Provide support to the Technology Directors and Marketing team Assist with GSMA events: MWC and M360 series Perform other adhoc tasks and manage discrete projects as requiredAbout You

As a PM Coordinator you will need the following skills:

  • Understanding of good project management practices and processes including a working level understanding of waterfall, agile, and other delivery methods
  • Experience of using different project management tools including Asana, MS Teams and MS Project
  • Experience of supporting the management of projects and work streams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to communicate complex messages in a simple manner
  • Willingness and confidence to present in meetings with stakeholders
  • An aptitude for managing internal and external stakeholders of different seniority
  • Network well with new colleagues or those in other locations/departments
  • Good attention to detail and use of 'plain' English in communications
  • Experience of working in an international and cross cultural environment would be beneficial
  • Good office IT skills, at least including Microsoft Office products, especially Outlook, Word and Excel
  • You will display the following qualities:
