Responsibilities:
Asa Junior Court of Protection Cost Draftsman you will be responsiblefor:
1.


Cost Drafting: Prepare bills of costs claims and other relevantdocuments in compliance with Court of Protection guidelines andprocedures.

2.


Assessment of Costs: Conduct detailed assessments of costs andnegotiate settlements wherenecessary.

3.


Legal Research: Stay updated on relevant legislation and caselaw affecting Court of Protectioncosts.

4.


Billing Process: Manage the endtoend billing process ensuringaccuracy and compliance with relevantregulations.

5.


Client Communication: Liaise with clients solicitors and otherstakeholders to gather necessary information and provide updates oncostrelatedmatters.

6.


Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all costrelatedactivities ensuring documentation is organised and easilyaccessible.

7.


Adherence to Guidelines: Ensure compliance with Court ofProtection rules procedures andguidelines.


Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Court of Protection CostDraftsman.
• Proficiency inrelevant legal software andtools.
• Strong understanding ofCourt of Protection rules andprocedures.
• Excellent attentionto detail and organisationalskills.
• Effective communicationand negotiation skills.
• Abilityto work independently and collaboratively within ateam.
• Relevant legalqualifications or certifications will be anadvantage.
