    Position Title: Marketing Manager

    Reporting To: Operations Manager

    Salary: £30,000 per annum (£37,500 FTE).

    Location: London/Head Office Tooting Works

    Term: 12 Months FTC (4 days per week)

    Business Launchpad operates on-site at Tooting Works and is a registered charity which provides support and training for entrepreneurs aged 16-30 years from across London who want to set up their own business. See for more information.

    Role Summary:

    Tooting Works, and our charity Business Launchpad (BLP), are seeking a dynamic, part-time Marketing Manager with experience of social media, web site and email marketing to lead our marketing efforts across various channels including social media, website, online advertising and email.

    The ideal Marketing Manager candidate will have a strong understanding of marketing principles, excellent organisational skills, initiative, and a proven track record of creating and managing successful marketing campaigns. An ability to work closely with team leaders and senior managers to translate business goals into targeted and effective marketing initiatives and campaigns is essential. The Marketing Manager will line manage a Marketing Coordinator, and experience of line management and staff development would be helpful.

    Role Responsibilities:

    The marketing manager will develop and implement marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and drive customer engagement. Key responsibilities of the role are:

    • Manage and oversee all aspects of social media marketing including content creation, posting schedules, and community engagement across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and others.
    • Optimise website marketing efforts to improve traffic, user experience, and conversion rates. This includes overseeing SEO strategies, content creation, and website analytics, using paid external services as needed to execute on this.
    • Plan and execute email and outreach marketing activities to nurture leads, improve conversion and enrolment, booking or occupancy rates as relevant, and promote brand engagement.
    • Develop branded marketing collateral as needed to promote events and services.
    • Monitor and analyse marketing metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and make data-driven decisions for optimisation.
    • Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in digital marketing.
    • Manage relationships with external vendors, agencies and partners to support marketing initiatives as needed.
    • Work with relevant business systems and applications to ensure they meet the marketing needs of Tooting Works and Business Launchpad.
    • Line manage and develop a marketing coordinator, providing guidance, feedback, and support to foster their professional development.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with service delivery, operations and other teams to align marketing efforts with overall business goals.
    • Conducting regular market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends, consumer preferences, and competitive strategies.
    • Staying informed about data privacy regulations (such as GDPR) and ensuring that all marketing activities comply with relevant legal requirements to protect consumer data and maintain trust.
    • Responsible for budget drafting and management of the Marketing department

    Role Requirements:

    • Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
    • Minimum 2 years of proven experience in a marketing role, with a focus on digital marketing channels.
    • Previous experience in line management responsibilities
    • Strong understanding of social media platforms, website optimisation techniques, and marketing best practices.
    • Experience and understanding of marketing analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, and email marketing platforms.
    • High comfort level with cloud-based marketing applications and business systems such as CRMs.
    • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with prospective customers, internal teams and external partners.
    • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities with a results-driven mindset.
    • Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise.
    • Adaptability to evolving trends and technologies in the digital marketing landscape.
    • A passion for marketing and a drive to continuously learn and improve.
