    Head of Transformation Change Management Engagement and Communication-

    - Electronic Health Records Project(EHR)

    Location: 1 London Bridge with expectation to visit other HCA sites

    The Head of Transformation Change Management Engagement and Communication holds a pivotal role in guaranteeing that stakeholders remain well-informed, actively engaged, and fully prepared for the transformative shifts introduced by the EHR digital transformation initiative at every phase of its implementation.

    Reporting to the Programme Director you will be working alongside 11 Heads of Project Operations, who are responsible for delivery, a project management team comprising approximately 275 members, meticulously selected to spearhead the adoption of HCA's cutting-edge EHR system, Meditech Expanse.

    Collaborating closely with clinical and medical operational experts, change agents, subject matter specialists, data analysts, and IT professionals across various organisational levels, your role, managing a small team, is owning the change management plan, tracking progress and communicating progress of the plan, to the significant about of stakeholders across HCA's 30 sites.

    This role leads on HCA's ambitious mission to ensure the seamless integration of the new EHR system. Owning engagement of change, and communication of change. It requires a significant about of co-ordination, due to the complex size of HCA.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a dynamic communication strategy tailored to the evolving stages of the Expanse Transformation project. Construct a detailed plan outlining the communication lifecycle, including key messages, channels, and target audiences. Continuously assess and refine communication strategies based on feedback, lessons learned, and change management best practices.
  • Maintain comprehensive stakeholder engagement and management throughout the HCA group, spanning all sites and organisational levels, from frontline staff to board members.
  • Identify and prioritise stakeholders across various departments and hierarchical levels across the HCA group. Create and execute effective engagement strategies through diverse platforms to manage stakeholder expectations and ensure their involvement throughout the project.
  • Establish feedback mechanisms to solicit input from stakeholders at every stage of the project. Analyse feedback to pinpoint areas for improvement and make necessary adjustments to the communication strategy.
  • Oversee change management efforts to prepare stakeholders for the impacts of the EHR digital transformation. Develop change management plans, communication materials, and training initiatives to facilitate smooth transitions.
  • Lead the creation and distribution of internal communication materials, including newsletters, engagement meetings, group-wide emails, and customised intranet updates, to keep staff informed about project progress and changes. Manage external communication with partners, vendors, and other stakeholders, including Medical Consultants and our third party CereCore.
  • Spearhead training programs to ensure staff proficiency in using the new EHR system. Coordinate training sessions, workshops, and educational resources in collaboration with the Head of Operations, Non-Clinical, Clinical, and Medical Subject Matter Experts to support adoption and proficiency.
  • What you'll bring:

  • Extensive leadership experience in change management, communications, and engagement for a large scale transformation project, within a healthcare setting.
  • Experience leading the co-ordination of the plan of change management for a digital transformation programme, relating to patient records.
  • Excellent organisational and people management skills.
  • Outstanding stakeholder management, up to and including board level.
  • Experience of Business Change Management tools, frameworks and approaches (knowledge of ProSci is advantageous).
  • Project management experience, for long term, large scale, multi-million digital transformation, specifically owning engagement aspect.
