    The Role

    We are looking for an experienced Sales Director for an exciting Automotive OEM. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing the company's sales strategy and spearhead their expansion plans.

    You will lead on all sales activity, investor relations and network planning for future growth across the UK.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead a team of area managers, overseeing their efforts to ensure your retailers consistently surpassed targets across sales, customer experience and profitability.
    • Develop and execute the sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and growth, leveraging market insights and retail partners feedback.
    • Provide leadership to the sales team, defining clear goals and success metrics that align with the overarching company objectives.
    • Create a high-performance culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
    • Work closely with colleagues in other functional areas to deliver on shared goals, fostering cross-functional collaboration and alignment.
    • Establish and cultivate relationships up to the C-suite level with new and existing dealer partners, leveraging these relationships to drive business growth and maximise opportunities.
    • Attend automotive industry events and panel discussions, representing the company effectively across the UK.

    Your Background

    You will have a background in driving sales growth for a UK automotive manufacturer, enhancing their brand reputation, whilst ensuring operational excellence for both your employer and your dealer partners.

    Skills Required:

    • A proven track record of leading OEM sales teams to consistently exceed goals, market expansion, and team performance improvement.
    • Ability to effectively manage and motivate a field based sales team who are working with retail partners.
    • Demonstrated success in operating successful dealer partnerships at scale, with experience pitching to C-suite and senior individuals.
    • Strong attention to detail and a creative approach to problem-solving within the automotive industry, including addressing challenges faced by car dealer groups.
    • Experience translating financial goals into actionable sales team objectives, leveraging data and insights to inform strategic decision-making.
    • Previous experience in the automotive industry from within an automotive manufacturer is essential for this role.
