About the Role and Person

Accent Group are recruiting for an Aids & Adaptations Co-ordinator to join our Contract Admin Team.


This role is all about providing expert advice and support for internal and external customers in regards to Aids & Adaptations installation, which improve our customers' lives and enjoyment of their home.

As an Aids & Adaptations Co-ordinator a typical day might include:

  • Working with internal and external customers to provide Aids & Adaptations advice and support
  • Managing, supporting, tracking and delivering an endtoend service for minor and major adaptations
  • Ensuring customers are kept informed throughout each stage of the process, tracking internal and external performance to ensure a speedy resolution to the request
  • Living and breathing the Aids & Adaptations policy, whilst supporting the budget setting process and service delivery requirements
  • Ensuring regional coordination of the Aids & Adaptations service, through internal and external stakeholders
  • Keeping a register of all Aids & Adaptations cases, process stages and associated costs and embedding appropriate processes and routines to deliver the Aids & Adaptations service
  • Ensuring the housing management system is updated with all completed Aids & Adaptations work, so all our data is accurate for future planned programmes and housing requirements
  • Analysing reports and performance data to ensure all stages of the process and contractors are performing
  • Interacting with internal customers, contractors and local authorities to ensure all invoices are provided and processed, in a timely fashion to meet finance requirements and relevant payment terms
  • Ensuring that all Grant funding contributions are received from local authorities
  • Consistently seeking improvement to the Aids & Adaptations processes and ways of working, enhancing our customers experience

The must haves

  • Excellent customer relationship management and support skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of the wider team
  • Ability to present accurate information, clearly and concisely in reports or dashboards
  • Good communicational, organisational and prioritisation skills at all levels
  • Ability to work with teams across the business, in helping teams to understand the need to provide information in a timely manner to ensure service delivery
  • Understanding of Aids and Adaptations policy and processes with Local Authorities
  • Awareness of component accounting and capital and revenue works definitions
  • Understanding our contract inclusions and exclusions in respect of adaptations work
  • Knowledge of finance and housing management systems
  • Advanced skills in the use of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Advanced ICT, numeracy and literacy skills

Salary


The spot salary for this post is £25,000 per annum for applicants who fully meet the requirements of the post.

Applicants, who do not meet all of the requirements of the post, will start 5% or 10% below the spot salary.
