Receptionist

Kelvinhaugh Residences, Glasgow

£21,543 - £23,135 effective from 1 April 2024

35 hour per week
We're looking for a Receptionist to join our Sanctuary Students team in Glasgow. Based at Kelvinhaugh Residence, you will join a team of 19 spread between office, housekeeping, and maintenance.

The role will be responsible for being first point of contact for all students and guests visiting the site and will complete different administrative tasks on a day-to-day basis.

We're looking for someone with people skills who has worked in a similar role, communicating, and helping people in a friendly demeanour within a similar hospitality environment.


The role of Receptionist will include:

  • Welcoming and greeting new arrivals and visitors on site and giving directions and advice when needed
  • Issuing keys and passes to visitors and managing the signing in and out documents ensuring it is kept up to date and dealing with the key replacement process
  • Administrative tasks including filing, printing, scanning, and updating spread sheets and different systems
  • Receiving and organising post and parcels which comes in
  • Raising purchase orders for office supplies and site keys

Skills and experiences:


  • Recent experience of undertaking a similar role
  • Working knowledge of effective communication at all levels
  • Experience of supporting the delivery of highquality accommodation or customer service
  • Good communication skills and understanding of written and spoken English
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
