We are looking for keen enthusiastic Health Care Assistants to join our dynamic caring team in this rewarding, and fast paced area delivering high quality specialist care in Gastroenterology.

Edith Cavell ward is 28 beds Medicine Ward dedicated to the treatment of Gastroenterological related illnesses.

This ward is a great place to gain or expand your knowledge, skills and experience of nursing acutely unwell patients within a supportive team environment.

As the Health care Assistant (HCA), you will work under supervision as a member of a multidisciplinary team. and be expected to perform a wide range of duties to deliver best possible care for patients admitted.


Your role will involve supporting, and offering suggestions, that improve the delivery of care to our patients and service users, ensuring that admission and assessment documentation is completed for all in patients, and assist in training and development of other members of the MDT.


You will need excellent communication skills with a good understanding to be able to demonstrate to other members of nursing staff aspects infection control and, with training, be able report and or act appropriately to changes in a patient's condition or any problems or hazards within the department to the nurse in charge.
